1.Where/how can I search to find the best artist to do the work? I want "photo" quality, nothing "cartoonish", for lack of better wording.(I have no tatoos yet...)
2.Looking for a ball park on cost.(small ankle bracelet possibly.)
3.Is it best to get artwork to artist earlier than appointment if only visiting Vegas for 5 days? I have particular flowers in mind.

Tattoo FAQ 17: What is the price of a cover-up?

I am looking in Pearl Harbor area for a tattooist to ink my thigh with a koi and background to cover up a 15 year old faded tattoo. Problem is I have been to a few places that want like $750 to $1000 to do this, I have also been to a couple that have said $250 to $300. What would be the norm?

Tattoo FAQ 18: Can you cover up a black line with a lighter color?

I had a tattoo that went wrong on my forearm it was meant to look like black outlines of flames but just looks naff. Is it possible to tattoo over black ink with coloured ink? It’s faded a tiny bit to a greyish/blue colour were I tried having it removed with laser but that didn’t work.

Tattoo FAQ 22: Why is the skin under my tattoo raised, what can I do about it?

I have a tattoo on mt ankle. It is of Dopey. His hat is purple with a purple hat and a dark purple outline. The dark purple outline is raised. If I nick it with a razor it bleeds of course and it also bleeds purple ink. It itches and hurts. Why is it doing this and how can I fix it?
